  • Regimental Drum Major Association - The RDMA provides an information clearinghouse to regimental drum majors of pipe and drum, fife and drum, and military bands. This site is highly recommended.

    PipeBandArticles.com - An extensive collection of free articles with piping and drumming related issues. Some articles are available in multiple languages. This is an excellent resource for people in the Pipe Band world.


    WorldofPageantry.com - The World of Pageantry is not only the premier internet pageantry arts resource, but a published print Newspaper covering the west coast's marching band, drum corps, color guard and drill team activities.

Organizations

  • Regimental Drum Major Association - The RDMA's purpose is preserving the heritage, history, and fellowship of the Drum Major art form by providing information to current and aspiring regimental Drum Majors. Membership is free and is highly recommended.

  • Western Unites States Pipe Band Association - WUSPBA is the governing body for pipe band and solo drum major competitions. Their site also includes information on rules and dress standards.

  • Northern California Band Association - NCBA is one of the major governing bodies for high school band reviews and field shows in Northern California. Their site also lists solo drum major competitions held during the spring.

  • Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association - SCSBOA is one of the major governing bodies for high school band reviews and field shows in Southern California.

  • Drum Corps International - DCI is a nonprofit youth organization serving junior drum and bugle corps around the globe. Since 1972, DCI has developed into a powerful youth activity with artistic and organizational influence on the world's drum and bugle corps, marching bands, and related activities.
